In the latest Barbie vlog, she’s given a Bhangra lesson by her friend Ken is and it’s infectious. The whole video starts as a challenge. Barbie said she never pushed Ken to a dance-off because she’s a seasoned dancer where Ken is not. He is seen in the background moving furniture to clear a space. After a few stretches for dramatic effect, Ken break out in dance and it’s Bhangra!
Ken reveals, “I’ve been taking a lot of Bhangra classes with my friends Chai and Chivanni…they’re great teachers.” The video also includes a quick lesson on what Bhangra is. The facts include:

As Mattel actively works to represent everyone, whether in sexual orientation with the Creatable World, fascinating women such as Nalini Nadkarni, or Barbie now learning Bhangra, the effort is apprant and appreciated.

“Watch out guys, Ken is teaching Barbie how to do Bhangra! 🕺🏽I have been fortunate and blessed to be able to do a lot of amazing things in my career and life. This is one of those moments.
Before my acting career took off, I used to teach @zumba and Bhangra all over LA and the world to pay the bills. Schools, gyms, private classes, conventions. I would teach anywhere and anyone that wanted to learn. It was a unique opportunity to travel and gain some life experience. It was a grind, but I loved what I did and more importantly I loved the smiles people had when dancing. To be able to share something from another part of my life and to collaborate on a current project was incredible.
I would like to give a shoutout to the team at @barbie and @mattel for allowing my to bring my worlds together and bring a piece of me to Ken. This is the diversity, inclusion, and equality we need more of! When I was a kid, never in my wildest dreams would I think one day Ken would be teaching Barbie bhangra. Thank you @america_young for being such a wonderful dance/scene partner and incredible friend!
